It all started back in 1979 when our founder, James DeVoe, wanted to find a better way to serve customers at his Chevrolet-Cadillac dealership. He wanted to see people get behind the wheel of a quality vehicle they could enjoy, even if their financial status was not in the best shape at that moment. He decided to start financing customers' purchases himself right there in the store, and in 1986 he even created auto credit seminars to train the owners of other dealerships to do on-site financing themselves. In 1989, he founded J.D. Byrider.
The goal from the start has always been to provide reliable transportation for people who need help getting their credit score back where it needs to be. J.D. Byrider, going all the way back to Mr. DeVoe's way of thinking, aims to create affordable payment plans that work with customers' budgets and pay schedules. Today, well over one million vehicles have been sold at J.D. Byrider dealerships across the nation, and we at the Easton location are pleased to carry on this wonderful tradition of assisting people with their automobile and credit score needs.
